so what you see before you, is what rod bearing failure looks like up close. Calico Coated OEM 2.7 30v rod bearing, #5 cylinder. we are were all happy that, a) we had the crank cryo treated, kept any damage to an absolute minimum. and b) that we heard it before we started to really get into turning things up, and had to investigate at any cost. the customer wasnt happy to have his car down
